clear films as well as films with varying levels of
light diffusion for better growing
conditions in areas with strong sunlight.
Thermic
Effect
Thermic
films absorb IR radiation and prevent heat from escaping from
the greenhouse during night. They
result to increased night temperatures by 2- 4 C, smoother
temperature drop during cold nights, lower heating
cost, earlier harvest and higher crop yield.
Anti-Dripping
Effect
Anti-dripping
films prevent the formation of droplets on their surface.
They increase light transmission through the film and reduce
the harmful effect of droplets on the plants.
Effectiveness
& duration of the anti-dripping effect depends a lot on
the greenhouse type (particularly roof inclination, heating
& ventilation) and the climatic conditions of the area
of use. Due to the complex function of this property and to
the large number of parameters that influence it, we do not
guarantee its effectiveness & duration.
Anti-mist
effect
In
greenhouses covered with anti-dripping films, a mist is often
formed early morning and in the evening inside the greehhouse
- especially when humidity is high and temperature is rising
or falling sharply. Mist reduces useful light and may be hamfull
for plants. HiTeC
manufactures films with anti-mist effect, that reduce or eliminate
this mist.

Cooling
Effect Films
HiTeC
offers special films that reflect the Near Infra Red radiation
( heat entering a greenhouse during day) thus reducing temperature
during hot days. Cooling
films result to better growing conditions during spring and
summer, higher crop yield, better quality of crops and better
working environment for farmers in the greenhouse.
UV-Blocking
effect
By
appropriately blocking UV-radiation, these films reduce the
population of insects, reduce viruses, slow-down the spread
of certain fungal diseases and prevent black spots on petals
of red roses.
UV-blocking films may under certain conditions
affect affect the activity of bees used for pollination or
lead to poor coloration of purple flowers/plants. In such
cases, use after carefull testing at the specific conditions
of intended use.
Anti-algae
effect
In
areas with high levels of humidity and dense vegetation, greenhouse
films are often covered with green algae few months after
their installation. Green algae reduce the light transmission
and affect plant growth. HiTeC can incorporate an anti-algae
additive in the film that retards and reduces algae growth
on the external surface of the film.
